Latin America Outlook 2025

Keep updated on key regulatory issues

Long considered more of an emerging market in the global online gambling industry, a clear majority of countries in the Latin American region now either have regulatory regimes in place to govern online sports betting and/or casino games, or are moving in that direction.

As of April 2025, online sports betting and casino games are fully regulated through national licensing systems in Brazil, Colombia, Panama and Peru. Local licensing regimes are also in place in at least four Brazilian states, including Rio de Janeiro, Paraná, Paraíba and Maranhão.

This report is designed to provide high-level intelligence on Latin America's online gambling market as various countries introduce their own regulatory and licensing systems, and is part of ÂÜÀòžž’s Outlook series, which provides subscribers with forward-looking insights, data analysis and consolidated research on key segments of the global gambling industry.
